The Salt Spring Island Farmers’ Institute welcomes support from the community to continue carrying on its mission of serving the island’s farmers in their quest for sustainability, and to encourage preservation and agriculture on Salt Spring Island.
One method of support is purchasing a Salt Spring Island Farmers’ Institute membership. More information can be found at http://ssifi.org/membership
Another method of support is by volunteering, either with the Tuesday morning group who generously volunteer their time to repair and maintain the building and grounds, and/or with the co-ordinators for the Fall Fair without whom the fair would not exist. Attending the Fall Fair and encouraging others to do the same is a fun way to support the community, farmers, vendors, and the Institute. The 2024 Fall Fair will be held September 7 & 8. More information can be viewed at: http://ssifi.org/fall-fair
And one of the easiest ways to show your support for the SSI Farmers’ Institute is through “Save-A-Tape” at SSI Country Grocer. After making your purchase, place your receipt in mailbox #57 marked “Island ‘Farmers’ Institute” located near the far exit (see photo below), and Country Grocer will donate a small percent to the Institute.
